Thanks for joining me! I hope you will hop on board and enjoy my musical journey. I attended my first gig in 1971 and have been gigging periodically ever since. My biggest loves are RnB, Soul, Gospel and Jazzfunk but in my time I have been interested in Folk, Prog Rock, Classical, Country and to be honest any music that is worth a listen! I prefer small intimate venues but some artists will attract me to the larger venues. In this blog I will usually review the gigs as I am attend them but I have a rich bank of memories and will revisit some of the best gigs that I have ever been, some of the best albums and best songs I’ve heard and the best and worst venues. In 2018 alone my wife and I will attend close to 100 gigs which is probably the most we’ve managed in a calendar year, but we have been to over 500 gigs together in 9 years. I don’t have a record of every gig I’ve been to but I believe that I have attended well over one thousand gigs in my lifetime. I’ve been in an audience of 80,000 and in an audience of five, so I have a wide range of experience.
The Journey Begins

A music lover who attends 50-100 gigs per year, mainly in small venues in London. Most of my blogs will be reviews but in time I would like to recollect memories of gigs of bygone years and of some of my favourite albums. My musical taste is wide. My favourite genres are gospel, soul, jazzfunk, blues and R'nB but I was a huge progrock fan at its inception, I used to go to my local folk club and enjoy some classical music, throw in some reggae, country, raga, house, jazz, rock and metal and that just about covers all I enjoy.
